In a recent visit to St Helens, Federal Member of Lyons, Brian Mitchell MP, showed his support for the newly launched With One Voice choir which is part of the Creativity Australia program designed to encourage everyone, regardless of experience and skill, to get involved.
The initiative offers opportunities to all people to learn, grow and express who they are through singing and social connectedness. The new St Helens With One Voice community join a movement that brings together people of all faiths, cultures, ages and backgrounds.
“This is an amazing initiative that prioritises well-being, community and social connectedness. The St Helens choir is the first in Tasmania and will join the 22 other choirs, and 600 choir members, across Australia,” said Mr Mitchell.
“It is important that regional and rural communities have access to movements and programs which build social connection and foster supportive environments to encourage and grow community involvement and well-being.”
