BUSHBY REVEALS LIBERAL LAZINESS ON BRIDGEWATER BRIDGE
01 Nov 2017
Yesterday on Leon Compton’s Morning Show Liberal Senator David Bushby confirmed the business case for the Bridgewater Bridge had not been submitted by the Tasmanian Liberal state government to Infrastructure Australia.
“This revelation is just unbelievable!” Brian Mitchell, federal member for Lyons said.
“There's no excuse for being so lazy.
“The bridge has been a priority infrastructure project for more than 17 years.
"There are still 4 options being thrown around and the lazy Hodgman government hasn't bothered to present one to the federal government.
“State Infrastructure Minister Rene Hidding said in June it was ‘highly likely’ Tasmania would get federal bridge funding but now it's revealed he hasn't even submitted a business case.
"The Hodgman government has let Tasmanians down on AFP at the airport, fighting for GST and defending penalty rates - this bridge fiasco is the latest in a long line of Liberal disappointments."
